SaaS Products
Designing workflows for products where users need to manage information, tasks, systems, and decisions.
About
I’m Vamsi Uddanda, a Product Designer focused on SaaS, AI-powered experiences, and complex digital workflows.
My journey started with a simple curiosity about drawing and visual creativity. Over time, that curiosity evolved into a passion for understanding problems, designing interactions, and turning complex ideas into useful digital products.
01Where it started
I’ve always enjoyed drawing. Before I was thinking about user flows, interfaces, or product systems, I was interested in putting ideas onto paper. Drawing became a way to observe things, experiment with shapes, explore composition, and communicate ideas visually.
That curiosity stayed with me and eventually moved from paper into digital tools.
02The shift
Not just “How should this look?”
but “Why should this exist?”
As I explored UI/UX design, I became increasingly interested in the problem behind the interface.
This was the shift from simply designing screens to thinking about products.
Evolution in thinking
03How I think
Understand the user, context, business problem, constraints, and desired outcome.
Break complex problems into smaller decisions, workflows, and information structures.
Explore different interaction models, flows, layouts, and product behaviors.
Prototype, test, learn, iterate, and move toward an experience that is useful and understandable.
04What I work on
Designing workflows for products where users need to manage information, tasks, systems, and decisions.
Breaking multi-step processes into clear, understandable experiences.
Designing dashboards, systems, tables, states, and information-heavy interfaces without overwhelming the user.
Exploring how AI can help users understand information, make decisions, maintain context, and complete work.
05AI + Product Design
AI is changing what a product can do.
Traditional interfaces wait for users to navigate, search, click, and complete every step themselves. AI-powered products can understand context, retrieve information, recommend next steps, coordinate tasks, and sometimes act on behalf of the user.
What I care about here
From intent to outcome
06Designing with AI
My interest in AI Product Design comes from understanding how intelligent systems can improve real workflows.
The goal isn’t to remove the human from the workflow. The goal is to help the human make better decisions with less unnecessary effort.
The loop
07Currently exploring
Designing experiences where AI can understand goals, plan tasks, use tools, and help users complete workflows.
Exploring the right balance between automation, transparency, trust, and user control.
Designing systems that make information-heavy and multi-step workflows easier to understand.
Creating reusable foundations that allow products to scale consistently.

09Beyond the screen
The things I do for fun still shape how I see composition, story, and character.
Drawing has been part of my life long before product design. I still sketch ideas, characters, interfaces, and random things that catch my attention.

I enjoy creating illustrations as a way to experiment with composition, visual storytelling, and different styles.

I'm a big Marvel fan. I love the characters, worlds, visual storytelling, and especially the idea of building interconnected stories.

I'm also an anime watcher. I enjoy the storytelling, character development, visual worlds, and creative direction.
Worlds worth getting lost in
10Sketchbook
Scroll sideways. Rough pages, unfinished ideas, and things I noticed.
11 / Still learning
I’m continuing to grow as a Product Designer by learning how products work, how people make decisions, and how emerging technologies can create better experiences.
The tools will continue to change. The interfaces will continue to evolve. AI will change what products are capable of. But the curiosity to understand, explore, and create is still the same.
The medium changed.
The curiosity didn’t.
